"Every little thing she does is magic. Every thing she do just turns me on. Even though my life before was tragic, now I know my love for her goes on." The Police

It's Ally's 31st birthday and she'd just assume stay in bed. Unfortunately, Larry got her a talking alarm clock as a gift, and it is relentless. Plus, who should make an appearance but the dancing baby - only this time he's the walking-slowly-with-a-walker baby. Yes, birthday anxiety is firmly in place.

Nelle's new client, Harold Dale, is suing his plastic surgeon. Harold is a female impersonator and asked for a "Barbra" nose. He feels he got the Karl Malden model. The truth is, Harold's despondent over a recent, post-op breakup with his boyfriend. Nelle negotiates between Harold and his doctor to help them reach a settlement, which won't include any admission of wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, Larry's got a new associate (Regina Hall, Scary Movie) and a new client. The new client is only in town for a few days and needs Larry to quickly settle a dispute. Jeez, this guy's demanding. Oh, did he mention he's Sting?! Seems a crazed fan (Cheri Oteri, Saturday Night Live) is blaming Sting for the breakup of her marriage. She believes Sting flirted with her during a concert. Larry - who is already in hot water with Ally for the lame alarm clock - now has to cancel their lunch plans, and will probably be late to her birthday celebration at the bar. Luckily, Larry's new associate Coretta is obsessively organized and helps him prepare for the deposition. Sting ultimately goes along with the fans' claims and settles. After all, she doesn't want to leave her husband (Paul Reubens, Blow) for Sting; she just wants to believe in the fantasy.

Since Ally called in "older" and didn't go into work, Fish makes a house call to ask her advice about Ling. Ally says if Richard wants to make her jealous, he should buy new clothes. New clothes are a clear sign that you're dating someone new. Richard and Mark head to Gucci and run into Richard's fantasy woman, Cindy Margolis.

Later that night, Ally stops by her office before going downstairs to the party. Richard drops by for a brief heart-to-heart. Ally's convinced Larry is going to leave her. Richard chalks it up to birthday emotions, but Ally is adamant that Larry leaving is an inevitable eventuality. He leaves and Ally unfestively joins the festivities. Elaine and Jackson do a saucy, sweaty duet. But Ling's not jealous until Renee lets it slip that she and Jackson slept together. Then, Richard sits down with his date, Cindy Margolis. Double whammy! Nelle encourages her client (who is now in full Streisand drag) to get up there and he wows the crowd with his/her singing. Afterwards, glum Ally is getting ready to leave when Larry appears on stage singing "Every Breath You Take." On the chorus, Sting steps out of the shadows to the amazement of everyone, especially Ally! Guess that makes up for the alarm clock.
