Brian asks Ally to move in with him so she and her new therapist, played by Robert Downey, Jr., re-evaluate the relationship.

As Renee sings her favorite song in the background, Ally enjoys a glass of wine with Brian. He surreptitiously slips a sapphire ring on her finger and asks her to move in with him! Ally is stunned.

Ally goes to see her therapist the next day. When she arrives at Tracey’s office, she’s surprised to find a handsome young man unpacking boxes. He guesses that she must be Ally and extracts her file from a pile on his desk. He gets her to confide in him and Ally admits that her sex life with Brian isn’t that great. He also convinces her to be honest and direct with Brian. Ally asks the question: Just how important is sex to a relationship?

Cage’s client just might have the answer. His longtime friend, Maureen, is hoping to have her marriage annulled after catching her very attractive husband, Wayne, in the pool with a wet t-shirt model. Maureen feels that Wayne married her for her money, since she is not very attractive and sex was never a part of their relationship. Wayne contends that although they agreed from the beginning that theirs would be a sexless union, that doesn’t mean he didn’t love her. The harshness of the proceedings leaves Maureen feeling pretty down on herself so Cage asks Fish to pretend to be attracted to her. That backfires when Maureen saunters into Richard’s office and practically throws herself at him!

Meanwhile, Ally musters up the courage to tell Brian that they have no “heat” between the sheets. He immediately gets defensive and questions whether Ally is even capable of good sex. Things go downhill from there and they eventually break up.

Back in court, despite John’s excellent closing arguments, the jury finds in favor of Wayne. He tells Maureen that even though he’s now entitled to alimony, he doesn’t want a nickel. He really did love her but she’s the one who pushed him away.

In the Unisex, Ally runs into her therapist – who reveals that he’s not a therapist at all. He’s actually a lawyer!
